Welcome, Little Chicks!

Last month, Evan officially began his business venture with raising chickens. He got a coop for his birthday in March but was waiting till Mom & Dad got back from their Hawaii trip to actually get the chicks. They started off getting 6 chicks, a set of 3 different kinds.

Lorelei thinks they are fascinating! She loves to come and look at the chicks, who are not so little anymore!

We lost one of the little chicks after just having them for about the week. But a few days later, we got another chick that came from the same batch that these guys did.

Checking out these cool new little guys!

Pictured left-right: Rosie, General Feathers, Willow, Rocky, Lord Cluckington, and Fluffer Nutter.
Willow is the sweet little girl who passed. The new chick's name is Iris and is the same kind as Rocky and Rosie.
Lord Cluckington & General Feathers are Ameraucanas
Rocky, Rosie, and Iris are Australorps
Fluffer Nutter is a Black Sex Link

They've gotten quite big now and have outgrown several boxes inside. They're starting to begin their journey to the outside now that they are bigger and the temperature is warmer! Right now they're in their official coop, but it's being kept in the garage while they're transitioned outside. We will see how next week goes after the move!
