The Brightside of a Cloudy Day

It's really easy on days like this to mope around, feeling crummy and sorry for yourself.  I'd been feeling pretty off-ish for most of the weekend and last night started to feel better.  I thought we were in the clear when Jimmie woke up screaming.   I went into his room to find everything covered in throw up....sheets, blankies, wubbanub, puppy, pillow pet, sleep sheep, jammies, and alll over his face and hair.  Nice visual, huh?  Yeah,  sorry about that.  I guess I could just say, it was pretty bad.  I felt nauseous but didn't know if it was because I was cleaning up vomit and bathing a little boy covered in it or if I was truly sick.  Thought I'd brave work today, but that didn't last much longer than about 30 minutes before I realized--I have the same thing that little man does.  So I came home.

It's been an interesting day of fevers, medicine, naps, saltines, etc.  But bless his little heart, even when we are both sick, Jimmie still manages to find ways to make me smile.  How could you not love his little face?!

He hasn't played peek-a-boo with me in a while.  But as I was folding some of the laundry, he came over, found a clean sock, and decided it was JUST the right size to hide behind for a game.  Ha!  So close, buddy.  Also, you can kinda see his tooth in this!  Anyway, here's a little video that I just had to share.

  1. So sorry you were both feeling so sick. Hope you're both doing better. Its definitely no fun when your little one isn't feeling well, but to be sick at the same time makes it even harder. Give my little sweet pea a big hug from his grammy. I just love the video. Peek-a-boo is always a fun game!
