Here are a few shots of the kids from the month of June.
In the middle of June, we had a TERRIBLE storm that knocked out power for a huge part of the state and many other states as well. Like most times, we assumed it'd come right back on. We waited and we waited...and it didn't! Soon we started hearing reports. "2 days before power will be back on...Update: 3 days... 4 days... 5 days.." FIVE DAYS?!
It's crazy how much you take for granted with electricity. Like... air conditioning in the middle of June. Or running water, since no electricity means no water pump. Many, many things require electricity. Thankfully we were prepared enough to take care of our needs, and had plenty of food and water storage.
Thankfully, we were among the lucky ones who got power back on after 30 hours. And somehow those 30 hours felt like 3-4 days. We spent good portion of those days cleaning up the yard that was totally trashed from the storm. Cutting up the downed trees, picking up pieces of the shattered pool equipment that the tree branches fell on, etc. It was quite the experience to bathe in the pool...completely filled with sticks and leaves at the time. Nothing a little shampoo and body wash can't fix. We slept in the basement to keep cool during the night. There were many stories that could go along with this storm, but for now, we will leave it at...it was quite an adventure!
During the rest of the month...
This sweet girl has learned how to sit up already.
She's loved playing in the Bumbo while learning to sit up, and now she's sitting up so well, she can do it all by herself!
Here is this beauty when she turned 4 months old :)
And now she likes to roll all over!
Pretty quickly after she learned how to push herself up during tummy time she became a frequent roller. She can be across the room in seconds!
She's so quick that we can't even get a picture of this little mover!
Enjoying the Bumbo while watching Women's World Cup Soccer!
Jimmie LOVES to ask to say the prayer before meal times. He's pretty good at keeping us on our toes.
Just the many faces of Ms. Lorelei
And boyyyy does this kid love mac n cheese!
Just going for a little ride on his bike like the big kid he is!!
These two love each other so much!
That last picture is just so super sweet!
