And a Happy New Year!

We've been having a lot of fun in the last few days since Christmas, just enjoying one another's company and new toys.

You know it must be good when you're this excited to wake up.

Never, ever bored.

He doesn't typically take notice of the TV, but I thought this was a funny shot.

One of my painting projects that I did with my craft table.
I made it just for fun, for Jim.
(It's the Miami Heat, if you're not familiar with the NBA)

 Ham!

 Silly pictures!

 Seriously Handsome!

These booties are awesome. They're called Zutano Booties.
They're the only thing that will stay on his feet

Just being adorable!

Trouble maker, on the move.

 But, he's a charmer!

We've been trying out some new foods...and are a bit skeptical

New Year's Eve

We just had our own little party at home.
It was a lot of fun!
Jim was originally supposed to work, but they ended up overstaffed and their servers were down, so Jim got sent home. I wasn't complaining! Turned out to be a much better evening than originally imagined.

Here's the progression of our night...as depicted by Jimmie.

 Happy, just hanging out!

Getting a little sleepy...but coping with it!

 Silly time!

Way too tired... and a bit cranky!

 Ultimately... crashed!

New Year's Eve (December 31st) was also Jimmie's 7 month birthday!

Here are some of the shots from that day.
Can't believe how big he has gotten!

New Year's Day:

Just being a little gentleman for the new year!

As such, I've decided to set some goals:

 1. Do some more reading

2.) Charm some more ladies!

3.) Conquer crawling.  And probably walking, too.

4.) Laugh a lot!

5.) Spend time with my awesome family!

Mommy and Daddy set some goals, too.

2013 has been a fantastic year! We moved, started working at the Cocoa Bean again, started working at Bluehost, passed the Praxis exam, finished BYU classes, stopped working at Cocoa Bean, completed Spring student teaching in 5th grade at 9 months pregnant, welcomed our sweet son into the world, welcomed visitors from all over the country to come and visit us, bought a new car, completed student teaching in 3rd grade for Teaching English Language Learners, completed Fall student teaching in 5th grade, submitted all final assignments and Teacher Work Sample, officially graduated from BYU, and started working as a P.E. teacher/teaching aide at Foothill Elementary.
And all of that as we got to enjoy watching our little boy grow and develop each and every day!

Here are some of those moments wrap from the last 7 months, wrapped up into one short little video:

2013 has probably been the most monumental year so far.  It has been the most challenging and the most rewarding by far.  I cannot wait to see what 2014 has in store for us.
We have been so unbelievably blessed!

  1. Happy New Year! What great pictures you've taken! I just love looking at them! And the monthly pictures with the giraffe are always my favorites seeing how much he's grown from the month before.
