Every day these kiddos get bigger and bigger. It's incredible to see the development in both of these guys all of the time.
This big girl eats basically anything and can now eat really well (if she wants) with spoons and forks.
Had to include this crazy picture that I got from her Daddy. They had cupcakes for Jimmie's birthday at Mom-mom's house and it looks like Lorelei enjoyed it just a bit...
Here's the big 3 year old himself. He really is no longer baby at all. All little boy.
There she goes with her fork again! She likes almost all food. Veggies, some fruits, junk food, and especially chocolate.
One of Jimmie's favorite past times now! He ALWAYS asks to play Play-doh
Lorelei's newest trick would be climbing on everything...especially the high table and chairs.
We have been loving the summer weather and being able to play outside again!
Just a cute shot of Lorelei and her bunny. She loves that thing!
Excitedly looking out the window with Karsten...watching the rain.
Summertime also means...
Great adventures at the playground!
As a reward for Jimmie's succesful potty training, we celebrated with a special date at SkyZone. SkyZone is a fun trampoline place that also has this fun foam pit. Jimmie loved it! It was successful bribery. He was potty trained, but would still have accidents. So if he went a full day with no accidents, he got a sticker on his chart. After he filled up his chart (there were probably about 16 spots on the chart to fill), we had a blast!
Another one of our new favorite activities...they love to paint!
Of course, painting is messy so we like to clean up with this fun foam activity. Had we discovered it a few weeks earlier, I would have used it as our final activity at Jimmie's messy party.
It's basically just whipped soap! I used baby wash because I didn't want it to be safe for their eyes.
1 part soap, 2 part water, a few drops food coloring...whipped on high in a kitchen aid.
If you make it yourself, I found that about 1/2 cup baby wash, 1 cup water fit nicely. Beat it on the highest setting until it becomes a foam and kind of starts to peak. And no, the dye didn't stain them. I didn't use more than a few drops. They especially loved clapping with it!
Our most recent trash picking success. Seemingly brand new and they love it!
Sweet baby girl with her first actual pony tail. I love this so much.
Baby girl sitting in her princess chair (also a great roadside grab!)
One of the Saturdays that the kids were at Jim's, I woke up to a concerned phone call about Jimmie. He had developed a bullseye rash around where a tick bite was about 2 weeks prior. After spending way too long in the urgent care, we left with a prescription for a 21 day course of amoxycillin and a diagnosis of Lyme Disease. Thankfully, because the bullseye rash DID appear, we were able to recognize it and treat it early. Since it was discovered early, he should recover fully.
Another recent discovery has been this movie, Scamper the Penguin. I used to watch this movie all the time as a kid and recently found it on YouTube. Jimmie has NEVER been a movie watcher...rarely will he watch TV for longer than 20 minutes. However, he just loves this movie and wants to watch it at least every day if not more. Ha!
Lorelei is the bravest little girl ever. There's not much that stops her anymore. Here she is taking on the boys' tricycle!
Lorelei LOVES stuffed animals. She picked this one out at the yard sale that the young women at the church put on recently as a fundraiser. Anything soft and cuddly...she wants!
Lest you think that these children are always so angelic... here's a great shot of Lorelei post-tantrum. What was the cause of the tantrum? We may never know. Just one of the fun little things she does sometimes after naps. Ha!
More painting!!
Soaking up the summer with some yummy ice cream cones!
